Served on several community advisory committees, including the Sonoma Cannabis Advisory Council, the Sonoma County Hemp Advisory Committee, and the Sonoma Clean Power Advisory Committee. Additionally, held a board member position with the Conservation Action Fund for Education, a nonprofit organization, supporting efforts to advance conservation and environmental education initiatives.

“My mother and maternal grandfather. I often think of the adversities that my grandfather overcame and his story inspires me to dream big and work hard. My mother raised my sister and I as a single parent, while completing her degree. She has always been such a hard worker and demonstrated such compassion to her patients.
The other character that comes to mind is Ted Lasso! I love the way he leads with humor and empathy. ”

Shivawn studied sustainable agriculture at the Santa Rosa Junior College and went on to pursue a B.S. at Colorado State University in Business Management. Her expected graduation date is June 2026.
